Since I moved back to Ohio, people have always reached out to me if they need to find a good home for a piano, and dozens of you have pianos in your home because of that.
I'm looking for unused (used-but-usable/moderately repairable, collecting dust) musical instruments and gear to be donated to Rob's Music Studio.
The workshops that I am presenting are going to help fund repairs on the instruments and gear that I'll receive.
My vision is to then pair the instrument with a student/kid who connects with it, and give it to them for free. Once I have enough stuff collected, I'll hold a free workshop to make some matches!
I know that many of you have these things sitting in your homes collecting dust, waiting to be loved, appreciated, and used by young artists, so here is a short list of things I'm looking for:
- Band instruments
- Orchestral instruments
- Pianos/keyboards
- Guitars/banjos/ululeles/mandolins/harps
- Amplifiers/pedals/cords/monitors/etc.
- Recording and digital music gear
- Microphones
- Studio Headphones
- iMac/iPad/Mac Mini/MacBook
- Speakers/audio equipment
- Broken upright pianos that need major repair but the wood cabinet is in decent shape (I'll gut those, and if I can get enough decent weighted full Keyboards, I'll put them in the empty cabinets, making a much lighter but still pretty instrument that won't need tuning!)
If you have any of this that you are willing to part with for free, please click here.
